Just finished my vacation, and im back unfortunatly. I was camping. It was nice, 4 days with no electricity, let alone internet.
Wish i could say its nice to be back, but i wish i wasnt. Thats how most vacations go though i guess.
Anyways, i really want to start moving forward with my new plans for the site, but for the rest of the week i have stupid real life stuff to do, so hopefully next week things will get moving

yes i decided hell with it im making the change. Ill fill you all in later about whats going to be going on. But no sense now, i go on vacation in 2 days. I also screwed up something while trying to edit my header file as you might notice some colours are kind of off, so of it i like though. meh ill fix it later I think this site is going to be moving in a different direction. It will still be about making money, but much more specialized. I’m pretty busy this week then im taking a small vacation so im just taking the time to think about it. I am currently in the process of making myself a Daily Entrecard Drop List. *Quick note I still do my best to return all drops given to me whether you are on the list or not* you can see the current work in progress HERE If you want to be added to my list and forfill the following requirements then just comment on this article and I will happily add you to it. Criteria (you have to for fill one of these): Exceptions will be made, although dont ask me to make an exceptions for you I will decide that for sites come across myself. If you haven’t noticed yet you can access the list at any time by clicking the link at the VERY top of my site. I have several friends who have worked in call centers for credit card companies so I have learned several tricks on how to deal with them. 1) pay off your credit card EVERY SINGLE MONTH!! I didn’t need my friends to tell my this, it’s just common sense. I’ve only carried a balance once, for one month, and I hated the fact that I had to pay interest. If you’re carrying a balance you are just throwing money away. Think about it, when you are clothes shopping and you see a shirt for $20 dollars and you think, hmm for 20 that’s an alright deal. What if it was $25? $30? $50??? well if you take long enough to pay off your credit card debt and that is how much you will be paying for it. Not too smart huh? I know some people think but i have to carry a balance I just don’t have the money. Well I say find the money, start eating kraft dinner a couple of times a week, buy cheaper beer, walk don’t drive. Once you pay off your bills you will have more disposable income ad will be able to trade your kraft dinner in for something a little more appetizing. 2) Ask for a lower interest rate. You would be surprised at how much power the people at the call centers have. Just ask them if they will lower your interest rate, if they say they cant ask to speak to their manager, maybe they can. 2.1) Threaten to cancel your account to get a lower interest rate. Get a second credit card if you don’t have one. Call the company you have the balance with and say that if they don’t give you a lower interest rate you will cancel your account. Once again if the first person refuses ask to talk to their manager. They want to keep your business, a little pressure can go a long way. 3) Ask for fees to be waived. Late on a payment? Can’t cover the minimum payment this month? Call them and ask that it be waived. Two strategies here, first is to point out that you have always paid on time and this is a one time thing. Second is to think of a sob story, your dog died, your dad died, whatever just make it up. Remember that credit card companies are cold heartless bastards, but the people working at the call center are human beings with a heart who get paid very little and hate the company they work for. Many will be willing to help you out if they can Bonus tip of questionable moral content) At least some companies have the policy that fraud claims under a certain amount can be cleared by your average entry level call center employee without it ever reaching the point where someone looks into it. What does this mean? It means you can go to some store and buy something cheap (i suggest less then $10) then when your statement comes in call your credit card company and claim you never bought it. And like that POOF the charge is gone. This is technically stealing, I’ve never done it, but I’m sure there are some people who will be happy to know this. Obviously if you do this a lot they might catch on. I have a question that i hope someone will be able to answer. Theres several changes to my blogs appearance / functionality that should of been made a long time ago. Im determined to finally do them…at least some of them, over the next couple of week. The first was to finally update the stupid default header images that came with the blog template. No more flowers! Its about dam time i did that. The 3 new pictures I put together are good enough for now, not exactly what i want to a step in the right direction. For anyone else who has a blog template that automatically cycles different images its quite easy to changes the default images. Go into where the files for your theme are. Look for a folder named ‘headers’ or something like that. Then simply delete the image files in there and upload your new ones. The themes code will take care of everything else It’s been awhile since iv’e been on a hard core dropping spree. I recently downloaded google chrome and have decided to use it for all my online business stuff and keep my usual mix of firefox and IE for my casual browsing. Like i said I just downloaded google chrome so i dont have very much experience with it. In general it seems fine enough for me. However when i try to open 5 or more sites at a time (as im sure many people do when dropping) i find that way more then half dont sucessfulfuly load. Some load with all the images broken and many dont load what so ever. At first I thought maybe something has changed with my internet connection, maybe something is a little bit screwy, like I said it has been awhile since I’ve dropped alot. However just five minutes ago I tried dropping with firefox. 10 out of 10 sites simutaneously opened loaded perfectly. I know many people are thinking well 10 isnt very much, but remember i’m just comparing this to the performance of google chrome. So quite clearly i strongly recommend the use of firefox to google chrome for dropping purposes. However as someone new to chrome i also ask, do other people share this experience? Is there some settings i should be changing to remedy this situation? As any of my old readers know i made another disappearance over the last couple of months. It was due to exams and starting a new job. Im not going to try and kid myself and say im back 100% for good this time no if ands or buts. I do plan to TRY to make this an active site again. I’m even going to start using Entrecard again. I cant comment on which direction the blog will be heading. it will pretty much be a mish mash of whatever comes to my head for the time being. Glad to be back That’s right, I’m going to be starting my own PTC site… maybe. Last week I wrote about HYIPs, and i was supposed to write the second part of the article this week. However something happened, which I’ll talk about when I write that article. But anyways you know that saying “If you want something done right you have to do it yourself”? Well I’ve decided that it is especially true for making money online. While there are successful profitable programs out there, the majority are not. So I’ve decided to take matters into my own hands. Running a PTC site is no easy task, or so I’ve heard. It takes time, effort, but luckily low start up capital. I of coarse plan on running an honest site, something too rare these days. It is not a decision I am taking lightly to start this site. Its not even a sure thing yet. I most likely wont start it until the end of April when I am done school and can dedicate more time to it. Plus this will give me lots of time really think about it. Plus I would really like the site to be like neobux, with the whole rented referrals and everything. But as far as I know right now there is not a widely available, so maybe in a month it will be. Wish me luck, and please give me any thoughts/ experience you have about PTCs, what makes them good what makes them bad. |
